Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cake

1 cup oatmeal

1 3/4 cup boiling water

1 stick butter

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup sugar

2 eggs, beaten

1 3/4 cup flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

1 Tbsp cocoa

12 oz chocolate chips

Combine oatmeal, boiling water, and butter. Mix until cold. Add sugars, eggs, flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa. Mix in 1 cup of the chocolate chips. Pour in greased and floured 9X13 pan. Add the rest of the chocolate chips to the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
